Many web designers focus more on eye-catching styles than on readable layout. The result is a web design that catches your eye, but that doesn't hold your eye. If a web-surfer must sort through a lot of different colours, shapes, graphics, and clutter, they will tire more quickly of your site. Also, if it requires any amount of searching to figure out how to navigate through the pages of your site, a web-surfer will get fed up and leave your site.
